Emu: Australian Curriculum Outcomes

The lesson plan and activities for the book Emu by Claire Saxby and Graham Byrne align with the following outcomes for English from the Australian Curriculum and from the New South Wales (NSW) Syllabus. This ensures literacy development across Kindy – Year 4 through reading, comprehension, writing and oral communication.

The lesson plan and associated activities also align with outcomes for Science from the Australian Curriculum and from the New South Wales (NSW) Syllabus. These outcomes support students’ understanding of biological concepts and the interdependence between living organisms and their habitats.
